Step aside Pumpkin Spice Latte, highstreet coffee shops are rolling out their ranges of Christmas treats.
With menus filling up with cinnamon, gingerbread, and chocolatey treats, we take a look at what's on offer for 2021 and how you can make the most of the season’s trends with some delicious recipes.
This year, Costa have welcomed back their three famous festive flavours, and introduced another special guest, with their exclusive Quality Street drinks range.
New to the range this year is the Quality Street Toffee Penny Latte, "classic Latte blended with a rich golden caramel sauce, topped with a light dairy swirl, and sprinkled with crunchy caramel toppers to perfectly capture the buttery notes of the nation’s much-loved Quality Street Toffee Penny sweet."
Returning lattes are the Quality Street the Purple One Latte, and the Gingerbread Latte, with Terry's Chocolate Orange, After Eight, and Blackforest Hot Chocolates.
Other seasonal treats offer a huge selection, including the Terry's Chocolate Orange Muffin, Turkey & the Trimmings Toastie, Bacon Mac 'n' Cheese Toastie, Vegan Santa Gingerbread, Mince Tart, Pigs Under Blankets Panini, and many more.
The famous Starbucks red cups will be filled with two new flavours this year, alongside a returning classic, the Toffee Nut Latte, which is being joined by newcomers Fudge Brownie Hot Chocolate, and Caramel Waffle Latte.
Their Fudge Brownie Hot Chocolate is described as "classic Mocha, mixed with Biscuit flavour sauce and combined with mocha. Finished off with whipped cream, mocha drizzle and Fudge sprinkle topping." Certainly not something for those without a sweet tooth.
Their Toffee Nut Latte is "signature espresso and steamed milk, combined with Toffee Nut syrup, whipped cream and delicious Toffee Nut sprinkles."
Finally, the Caramel Waffle Latte is "signature espresso and steamed milk, combined with Winter Waffle sauce. Topped with whipped cream and Spiced Caramel Waffle Crunch topping."
Also returning are the Eggnog Latte, and the Gingerbread Latte, as well as a range of treats, including Cran-merry Cheesecake Muffin, South Pole Sam Shortbread, North Pole Nat Shortbread, Jolly Jammie Cookie, and Christmas Tree Brownie. And mince pies, of course.
